I purchased a HP d135 Office Jet but it one and only prints within black and white, what am i doing wrong>?

I installed a current driver but it still will not print in color...

If you be in motion to File > Print or File > Page setup

You will see the printer options such as the printing position, size etc. And also you should see the options such as draft/higher resolution printing etc. Apart from other option you should also see the options to print surrounded by B/W or in color. Most probably your defaulting print setting is set to B/W.
Go to printer driver right click click on preference next paper part you will see black color put a check on color. by the way here is nothing call black and white. even black or color.
