it prints out ones of those sheets that you are expected to put in the scanner to align it. besides departing the printer on all the time is within any way I can stop this?

It's doing the examination because you did not align the printer after changing the videotape.

There is no other standard way of aligning the cartridges .If you entail more options please stop by HP website.
Everytime u install a new videotape u have to scan the tryout page so as to align the printer cartridge.
Complete the alignment and it will quit doing it.
Another remedy is to just not turn the printer sour.
