Try reinstalling the printer driver. Your computer is looking for a printer connected to the resourceful USB port.
A usb printer driver may have to be reinstalled to authorize the new port. If other things work on the latest 2.0 ports then the printer should too.
yea check online on the site of the printers author - HP, Canon, etc.

Not knowing as to what benign of printer you are having problems near. The only suggestion would be to do a un-install after re-install printer to directions which came next to you machine. Or if you hold a "trouble-shooting" info. with software that also come with element.

Also. If it is still under warranty - give the name their tech help column.

I had equal issue. Look for an updated driver that supports USB 2.0. If not, you have to buy for a time piece of harware called a "USB 1.0 Emulator."
